Accessibility

Human-centered design must include accessibility.

A website arguing for human dignity should be usable by everyone. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA across the site.

What we have built for

  • Contrast ratios that meet or exceed AA for text and controls
  • Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators
  • A skip link to the main content on every page
  • Semantic headings, landmarks, and labelled form fields
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images
  • Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion setting
  • Responsive, resizable typography without loss of content

Where we may fall short

Accessibility is ongoing work, and new content can introduce new problems. If you encounter a barrier, please write to hello@thehumanfoundation.org and describe what happened. We will fix it and tell you when we have.
