Manifesto

A Human Future

We believe technological progress and human progress should mean more than the same thing by accident.

We believe intelligence is not the measure of human worth.

We believe economic productivity is not the full measure of human contribution.

We believe human beings require more than consumption and provision.

We require

  • Participation.
  • Belonging.
  • Development.
  • Responsibility.
  • Relationship.
  • Purpose.

We believe artificial intelligence can become one of humanity's greatest tools without becoming the standard by which humanity measures itself.

We believe the future should be designed not merely around what machines can do, but around what allows human beings to flourish.

And we believe the extraordinary intelligence we are creating should ultimately serve an extraordinary objective:

a more fully human civilization.

Human beings do not become less valuable as machines become more capable.
